The beautiful singing tones of Rihanna, has honestly been stuck on my music repeat button since I did that foolish thing of downloading her latest pop track WORK. After hearing the hit on the radio whilst driving in the sunshine last week, I immediately became transcended into a Notting Hill carnival mood (:-) carnivaaaaaaal!!) and it brought back fun carnival memories for me. Perfectly pop formulated into a catchy reggae beat which is now fully forced and drummed into my skull, I thought I'd take this weeks style inspiration from the colourful vibrant carnival spirit.

The look
Vintage Print Shirt:
Fabulous Funky Fruity coloured vintage 80's print shoulder pad shirt is perfect for injecting a bit of life and soul into an everyday outfit. Printed Shirts are so on trend and quite versatile to style. (Team with all sorts of denim, black, booties, trainers.)

80's Denim:
Fresh and light highwaisted blue denim jeans are for me such a timeless classic style that I can wear all day every day (Other than my Sunday leggings. Shhhh!). A flattering fit that I often wear through all seasons. Again I find it to be quite a versatile style. I can rock them in the day or evening. Definitely an all-round wardrobe staple!

Double Breasted Oversized Blazer:
I went for my vintage wool navy boxed shaped blazer to instantly smarten up this look. The blazer always makes me feel quite put together (which is ironic cos I'm not! duh!) The gold buttons and sharp shoulder padding detail helps add sophistication and a strong boldness to this striking look.

Blue Heels:
The (barely there) strappy pop of bright blue suede sandals add a touch of playful feminine sexiness to this funky style. I love a bit of height as these sandals automatically make me super fabulous! The thick platform make them slightly easier to walk in too!

Leather Bag:
Completing my look I went straight for my vintage red leather thick strap shoulder bag which I absolutely adore. I remember doing a little happy dance in the shop when I found this gem of an accessory (Love a shop happy dance) a few years ago. Again a perfect injection of colour for our lovely new spring weather (happy weather dance!).

Vintage Shirt, beyond retro, similar. Blazer, Mint vintage, similar. Highwaisted jeans, Rokit, similar. Sandals, Kurt Geiger, Here. (I paid full price, great sale price!). Bag, Charity shop, Similar
